Tractor trailer on fire, I-75 southbound lanes blocked in Monroe County

FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Two tractor trailer drivers were sent to the hospital with non-serious injuries after their trucks were involved in an accident.

Monroe County Sheriff John Cary Bittick tells 41NBC the accident happened on I-75 southbound near Exit 180. One of the trucks is on fire. Bittick says all of the interstate lanes are blocked.

No word on what caused the accident.

Bittick says the two drivers were sent to the hospital in an ambulance with non-serious injuries.
