Town Hall meeting to address Macon’s gun violence
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – To further address the recent murders, this evening there is going to be a town hall meeting.
Facilitator Harold Young is asking the community to come to the Tubman Museum. People will be discussing, not the issues, but solutions to stopping Macon’s gun violence.
Also in attendance will be some commissioners, law enforcement and families of the victims affected by gun violence.
“Why are the people so angry? Why do they result to gun violence? Why do you have to result to murder, robbery? It’s not so much when people say it’s the education, it’s the jobs. Well, what is it?” Young said.
They will start the meeting off with a balloon release in the parking lot. In honor of the 30 victims who lost their lives to gun violence.
It starts tonight at 6 p.m. at the Tubman Museum. Located at 310 Cherry Street.
