Willis adds you should get extra paper goods and plastic bags so your guests can leave with leftovers. She suggests if you can, prepare dishes ahead of time and leave them in the freezer. But before you do that, clean out your refrigerator and freezer so you will have plenty of space for food and leftovers.
Willis says now is the time to pull out your platters and holiday dishes. She suggests making a staging area that way you have everything you need when you’re ready to start using them.
