Three teens arrested in connection to Friday Waffle House robbery

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb County deputies have made several arrests in connection to an armed robbery at a Waffle House in Macon early Friday morning.

Witnesses told investigators three men came into the restaurant on Chambers Road around 5:00 AM armed with handguns. The suspects demanded money from the clerk and ran off with an unknown amount of money.

Just a few hours later, deputies found the three teenage suspects hiding out around a nearby hotel. One of the three was hiding under a vehicle in the parking lot of the hotel for over two hours.

Deputies arrested the 15 year-old and two 16 year-olds there. Both of the 16 year-olds were charged with armed robbery and possession of a firearm by a person under 18.

The 15 year-old is facing those same charges along with an aggravated assault charge for the armed robbery of a Papa John’s delivery driver on Mumford Road back in September.

All three are being held at the RYDC. They had their firs appearances in court Friday afternoon.
