Three New Yorkers arrested in Macon card fraud investigation

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Deputies with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office arrested 3 people in connection to a credit fraud incident in Macon.

According to a news release, 25-year-old Truquan Dixon used multiple credit cards to pay for a hotel room at the Comfort Suites on Plantation Inn Drive, Sunday.

A call was made to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office suspecting credit card fraud. Deputies questioned Dixon, 26-year-old Dorcine Grimes and 28-year-old Shaqwanda Staley. During the questioning, deputies found multiple credit cards and other items used to commit credit card fraud.

The suspects were arrested and taken to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. They are all charged with forgery of a financial transaction card, financial transaction card fraud and criminal possession of financial transaction card forgery devices.

The incident is still under investigation.
