Thomas Jackson Juvenile Justice Center dedicated to late Macon attorney
They dedicated the juvenile justice center on Oglethorpe Road to the late Macon attorney. Aside from the juvenile court, the center also houses programs from the district attorney’s office and the sheriff’s office. Jackson’s daughter said her father believes in justice and worked hard to protect it.
“He came from a poor family, he became a lawyer. That would be what he would want to teach other kids, that just because you come from a poor family, doesn’t mean you can not succeed in life,” said Viveca Jackson.
The Thomas Jackson Juvenile Justice Center aims to help and protect children as well as ensure public safety.
