The heat is returning as July comes to a close

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – More typical conditions are returning following a week with plenty of clouds and below average temperatures.
This Evening
A line of storms is moving through Middle Georgia this evening. It entered the region during the late afternoon and should clear out of here during the late suppertime hours. A couple of showers will be possible overnight, but it will mainly be partly cloudy and muggy. Lows will again be in the lower 70s rolling into the start of Tuesday. Ambient wind will be gentle out of the west-southwest.
Tomorrow
It’s gonna be a bit hotter as temperatures climb into the mid 90s for much of the region. Real feels will easily eclipse 100F, some pushing over 105F. Ambient winds will be gentle from the west-northwest. Scattered storms will likely start to fire up around lunchtime, continuing off and on around Middle Georgia through the afternoon and evening. Storm activity should taper off as the sun sets.
Expect a partly cloudy night with overnight lows in the lower 70s. Wind will be out of the west around 5 mph. A spotty shower or two cannot be ruled out.
