Partly cloudy skies will linger into tonight as temperatures remain very mild. An isolated shower or two will be possible late this evening with a couple of thunderstorms possible overnight, particularly in the northern counties of the region. Temperatures will only drop into the low to mid 60s as winds continue from the south-southwest at about 5 mph.

Friday and Beyond

Friday will be a scorcher by April standards as highs reach the upper 80s and perhaps lower 90s around the region. While records are not expected to be broken, one or two spots may get high enough to set a new daily record. A couple of thunderstorms will be possible in the evening and overnight. Expect rain odds to rise over the weekend as a weak cold front stalls out and becomes stationary. The best rain odds will be on Sunday. Temperatures will dip into next week as a result of the frontal passage.
