The End Zone Week 3: Westfield-FPD selected as 41NBC Game of the Week
Live reports from FPD begin during 41NBC News at 5, with highlights from six games during 41NBC News at 11.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Week 3 of 41NBC’s The End Zone will feature Westfield at FPD as the Game of the Week Friday, along with highlights from five other Middle Georgia matchups.
41NBC sports anchor Rob Schiff and Chief Meteorologist Aaron Lowery will report live from FPD during 41NBC News at 5, 5:30, 6 and 11.
Bill Shanks will present Friday night’s highlights from the studio during 41NBC News at 11. Tucker Sargent will join Bill with highlights from Northeast at Warner Robins, and Rob will report from the Game of the Week.
The End Zone will also feature the Linemen of the Week, Band of the Week and scores from around Middle Georgia.
Game of the Week: Westfield at FPD
Westfield enters the game 2-0 after beating Brookstone 33-28 in its opener and Strong Rock Christian 17-9 last week.
FPD is 1-1. The Vikings lost to Pacelli by one point in their opener before shutting out Deerfield-Windsor 13-0 in Albany last week.
The series is tied 20-20. Westfield won last season’s meeting 33-22.
Northeast at Warner Robins
Both teams enter Friday’s game at McConnell-Talbert Stadium with 1-0 records.
Northeast, led by head coach Jeremy Wiggins, opened its season with a 39-0 win over Westside. Warner Robins beat Veterans 34-23.
Warner Robins has never lost to Northeast, winning all 24 previous meetings between the teams.
Peach County at Jones County
Peach County opened its season with a 63-24 win over Perry, while Jones County lost to Valdosta, 52-14.
The Trojans have won 16 of their 20 all-time meetings with the Greyhounds. Jones County won their most recent matchup 48-21 in 2023 after Peach County won 35-3 in 2022.
Jordan at Central
Central will try to improve to 2-0 under new head coach Jamoski Ward after opening the season with a 30-0 win over Greenville.
Jordan lost its opener to Columbus 44-0 and enters Friday’s game at Thompson Stadium on a 56-game losing streak.
Bulloch Academy at Tattnall
Bulloch Academy and Tattnall enter their matchup with 2-0 records.
Bulloch Academy defeated Brentwood 36-33 last week. Tattnall has outscored its first two opponents 82-9, beating Gatewood 47-7 and Piedmont Academy 35-2.
The start follows an 0-10 season for Tattnall in 2025.
Westside at Rutland
Westside will look for its first win after losing its opener to Northeast, 39-0.
Rutland opened its season with a 54-6 win over Crawford County. Westside is 16-0 against Rutland all-time, including a 16-14 win in 2025.
The teams will meet at the Ed DeFore Sports Complex.
