The downtrend in temperatures begins

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Middle Georgia will see winter temperatures return following the cold front Wednesday evening.
This Evening
Any remaining clouds around Middle Georgia should clear through this evening and into tonight. It will be colder as temperatures drop towards the average for this time of year, or the upper 30s and lower 40s. Winds will flow from the northwest at 4-8 mph, gusting upwards of 14 mph.
Tomorrow
Friday will be sunny and cool as well as a bit windy. Highs will reach the upper 50s and lower 60s, however wind chills may largely stay in the mid 50s. Wind will flow out of the northwest at 8-15 mph, gusting to around 25 mph throughout the afternoon. Skies overhead will remain clear all day.
It will be a cold night as conditions remain breezy from the northwest (8-13 mph gusting 20 mph) and temperatures plummet towards the freezing point. Close to half the region will drop below freezing, however faucets will not need to be dripped.
