Temperatures rebound Tuesday as sunshine returns

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Temperatures will be back above average Tuesday after a cloudy and misty Monday kept things cooler.
This Evening
It’s been an overcast and muggy day for the first Monday of November around the Peach State. While rain has not been a main concern, light sprinkling showers have been persistent, reducing visibility. It will remain cloudy through this evening and into tonight. Conditions may very well still be overcast by tomorrow morning. Overnight lows should hover around the 60 degree mark as the wind blows from the east at 5-10 mph. A few small showers will also be possible overnight.
Tomorrow
While the morning may be a cloudy one some sun should start to return during the late morning hours. Partly cloudy skies are likely for Tuesday afternoon as temperatures largely climb into the lower 80s around the region. Expect wind out of the south-southeast at 7-12 mph throughout the afternoon. A stray shower or two cannot be ruled out in the afternoon/evening.
Skies should be partly cloudy to mostly cloudy tomorrow night with lows expected to be in the low to mid 60s. Ambient wind will continue from the southeast at around 5-10 mph. Rain chances will climb more as Wednesday morning approaches.
The Tropics
Tropical Storm Rafael has formed south of Cuba and is expected to move north-northwest into the Gulf of Mexico as the week continues. It is currently forecast to become a Category 2 Hurricane just before making landfall in Cuba. Wind shear further north in the Gulf could help to weaken the storm after that. This, of course, is subject to change as the week progresses and those along the Gulf Coast of the USA should keep an eye on Rafael in the meantime.
