Temperatures rebound Tuesday ahead of a cold front

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – After a couple days in the 70s highs will climb back into the 80s Tuesday afternoon.

A sunny Monday afternoon will become a clear and chilly night across Middle Georgia. Lows will largely drop into the lower 40s accompanied by light winds from the south. There is a slim chance for patchy fog ahead of sunrise tomorrow.

Wind will pick up out of the south-southwest tomorrow morning leading to a bit more warming in the afternoon. Skies will be mostly sunny with highs into the low to mid 80s.

In the evening and overnight a few more clouds will move in with a slim chance for a stray shower or two. Overall rain odds will be very low as the humidity hasn’t really had time to rebound after the cold front this past Sunday. Wind will also shift out of the northwest ahead of Wednesday morning. Lows will likely be in the lower 50s.

Temperatures will return to the 70s the rest of the week after the weak overnight cold front. The wind will shift back towards the east ahead of the weekend however temperatures will stay below average for this time of year throughout the week.
