Temperatures keep warming Wednesday

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Temperatures will climb above average across Middle Georgia Wednesday afternoon.
This Evening
A mostly sunny afternoon will give way to a mostly clear night. Highs were near or just below average across Middle Georgia this afternoon, and overnight the case should be rather similar. Wind will flow from the west-southwest at 5-10 mph as temperatures drop into the upper 30s and lower 40s.
Tomorrow
Partly sunny skies are expected as more high clouds will populate the skies over Middle Georgia Wednesday afternoon. There will still be plenty of sun, however, and temperatures will largely reach the upper 60s. It will also be a bit breezy with 10-15 mph winds expected from the west, gusting upwards of 25 mph through the afternoon.
Scattered clouds will remain into Wednesday night as the wind shifts more towards the north and slows. Overall the wind will be light and variable, ultimately resolving out of the southeast by Thursday morning. Expect low temperatures to largely be in the lower 40s, however the coldest locations may still dip into the upper 30s.
Thursday and Beyond
Cloud cover will increase further Thursday as highs reach the upper 60s and lower 70s accompanied by southeasterly winds of 5-10 mph. No rain is expected during the day, however a stray shower cannot be ruled out in the late evening/overnight. It will be a much warmer night as lows only fall into the low to mid 50s ahead of Friday.
Friday will see thunderstorms in the afternoon as a cold front passes through the Peach State. As of now the Storm Prediction Center thinks the chances for severe weather are rather low, however there will be plenty of heat for storms to work with as highs reach the low to mid 70s. Sunnier skies will return again over the weekend.
