Temperatures continue climbing Thursday

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Temperatures will return to the upper 70s Thursday afternoon.
This Evening
A mostly sunny afternoon will become a clear night across Middle Georgia. Wind will be calm from the southeast at around 5 mph as temperatures drop into the mid to upper 40s. Some fog will be possible around the region.
Tomorrow
The daylight hours Thursday should be mostly sunny as temperatures climb into the mid to upper 70s. Highs will likely still be a couple of degrees below the average for this time of year. The wind will also be a bit more pronounced from the west-southwest at 5-10 mph. The gusts will be more noticeable as they push towards 20 mph.
Overnight the arrival of a cold front will spur on a few thunderstorms. Currently a Level 1 “Marginal” risk includes the northwestern third of the region, however most of Middle Georgia currently falls outside of this zone. A couple of strong wind gusts and perhaps some small hail will be possible. Temperatures will bottom out in the mid to upper 50s.
Friday and Beyond
Friday will be a bit windy with highs expected around the 70 degree mark. Skies will be partly cloudy with a couple of spotty showers possible. Saturday will be a cooler day as a result of Thursday night’s cold front, however temperatures should be back above average by Monday of next week.
