Teen in serious condition after being hit

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A teenager in Warner Robins was hit by a car  trying to cross the street on his bike Tuesday.

The Warner Robins Police Department says the accident happened at the intersection of Houston Road and Green Street just before 3:30.

Police say traffic was stopped by a red light at the intersection except for traffic turning left onto Green Street, which had the green turn signal.

The 14 year old male crossed the street into the path of a 2011 Toyota Corolla traveling north on Houston Road.

The teen was transported to The Medical Center Navicent Health in serious condition.

No charges are pending at this time.
