Driver found dead after stolen vehicle crash in Taylor County

Deputies say the vehicle was reported stolen before it was found overturned on Cold Creek Road Saturday morning.

TAYLOR COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Taylor County Sheriff’s Office says the driver of a stolen vehicle was found dead after a crash Saturday morning.

According to a Facebook post from the sheriff’s office, deputies received reports of a stolen vehicle on Saturday. The vehicle was later found overturned on Cold Creek Road, and the driver was confirmed dead at the scene.

Deputies have not identified the driver. The Georgia State Patrol has taken over the investigation.
