Tattnall Trojans coming off a 10-win season in 2014

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – This will be Clint Morgan’s third year as head coach of the Tattnall Trojans, coming off a combined 18-5 record the past two seasons. Last year, his team was 10-2 and are coming off an inspired playoff win.

That playoff win came against Pinecrest Academy in the first round, by a 23-0 score. Even though Tattnall eventually succumbed to Aquinas, Coach Morgan knew getting that first post-season win while in a new classification was a huge leap forward.

Offensively, the Trojans scored an average of 31.2 points a game. They’ll be breaking in a new quarterback for 2015, as Destin Mack will be lining up behind the center.

On the defensive side, the Trojans allowed 17 points a game, a number that would’ve been lower had they not allowed 49 points to Aquinas in the regular season finale. They’ll have defensive linemen Christian Rodgers and Sean Brown returning.

The first game for the Tattnall Trojans will be August 28th against Georgia Military College. The first home game will be September 4th against Warren County.
