Tattnall Square wins third straight title, Trinity-Christian falls to Piedmont
CHULA, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Tattnall Square Academy is the first school since the mid-1980s to win three straight GISA baseball titles.
The Trojans swept Tiftarea over the weekend in the AAA title series, exploding for an 18-3 win in Game 1 and then winning Game 2, 7-3. The games were Tattnall’s last in the GISA. The school moves to the GHSA this fall.
Trinity Christian falls in AA title series
Trinity Christian-Dublin came up just five runs short of a state title over the weekend in Monticello. Playing against Piedmont Academy, the Cougars were swept, 3-0 and 4-2. It’s the first title for Piedmont in more than 20 years.
