Tattnall Square Academy seniors help fight against blight
MACON, Georgia. (41NBC/WMGT) – For the fight against blighted homes, seniors at Tattnall Square Academy partnered with Rebuilding Macon on a home repair project.
Student Council President Paul Kelly says Tattnall Square Academy strives to give back to the community.
“It feels good doing this and helping out the people that are less fortunate than us. Poverty is definitely something that Macon struggles with, and it’s good to come out here and help out,” Kelly said.
As one of their last community service projects, Tattnall Square Academy seniors partnered with Rebuilding Macon to repair a west Macon home.
Rebuilding Macon and various volunteers repaired more than 250 homes in Macon-Bibb County last year.
