Tangie Herring beats Noah Harbuck in Georgia House District 145 race
Tangie Herring has won the race for Georgia House District 145, beating Noah Harbuck in Tuesday’s election.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Tangie Herring has won the race for Georgia House District 145, beating Noah Harbuck in Tuesday’s election.
Herring, who campaigned on public safety, education and economic development, said in an interview last month with 41NBC’s Monica Diaz-Meek that she was committed to addressing constituents’ key concerns across Middle Georgia.
“Talking to constituents, public safety, education, and economic development is very important to people right now,” she said.
Herring plans to support law enforcement by increasing officer pay and equipping them with necessary technology. She also intends to expand the MVP (Macon Violence Prevention) program for youth, which she praised as “doing an amazing job” in the community.
“Putting more funding in, supporting that, and making sure that our youth have opportunities in our communities so that they stay out of a life of crime and get into things that are positive,” she said.
Herring also spoke about the need for equitable education. She plans to support teachers, reduce class sizes and provide resources for parents to help their children.
“There’s $13.3 billion out there for education,” she said. “We want to make sure that we’re using that money wisely and making sure that education is equitable for all of our children.”
Economic development remains a main focus of Herring’s agenda. With Georgia ranked as the top state for business, she believes Middle Georgia should experience greater job growth and economic opportunities.
“People are suffering right now, and we need to bring more jobs and opportunities here in Middle Georgia,” she said.
