Suspects in Crawford County dog fighting ring facing new charges

ROBERTA, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Three men arrested for their alleged involvement in an alleged Crawford County dog fighting ring are facing new charges.

Robert Durham, John Cail, and Jeffery Armstrong are each charged with one count of dog fighting. They were originally charged with cruelty to animals and aggravated cruelty to animals.

They were all denied bond on the new charges.

Durham went before a magistrate judge Friday for a preliminary hearing and was denied bond.

The Crawford County Assistant District Attorney agreed to a bond for $25,000 for Armstrong with special conditions. As of 5 p.m., he had not made bond.
