MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Another sunny above average day is expected for Middle Georgia Thursday.

Wednesday has been quite similar to Tuesday save for a couple of clouds overhead. Another cool evening is expected as any clouds from the afternoon clear during sunset. Lows will be in the low to mid 50s across the region accompanied by a light wind from the northeast.

Sunshine will abound again Thursday afternoon as highs push into the mid to upper 80s around the region. Wind will be slightly breezier than it has been so far this week however the sustained speeds should largely stay below 10 mph from the northeast.

Overnight will be clear and a bit cooler as lows drop largely into the mid 50s. A couple of upper 40s cannot be ruled out for the chilliest spots. The wind, however will begin to shift towards the southeast as it stays pretty calm.

Friday and Beyond

Friday will be a bit cooler as highs return more towards the lower 80s in the afternoon. Wind will be out of the southeast around 5 mph, beginning the process of return flow ahead of a cold front coming this weekend.

Over the weekend things will warm up Saturday as the wind continues from the south. It should be a pretty sunny day on Saturday, however Sunday will be breezier with more clouds and a few isolated showers and storms. Temperatures will be a bit cooler to start next week following the front.
