Sunshine returns to Middle Georgia Wednesday

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Middle Georgia will see more sun Wednesday as Debby slowly drifts away.
This Evening
Skies will remain mostly cloudy around the region with the possibility for a couple of stray showers. Winds will remain breezy out of the north at 5-15 mph, gusting upwards of 30 mph through the evening. Gusts will likely peak around 25-30 mph overnight as temperatures drop into the lower 70s. A stray shower or two cannot be ruled out overnight either.
Tomorrow
Partly to mostly sunny skies are likely Wednesday around Middle Georgia with more sun likely over the western half of the region. Highs will range from the upper 80s into the mid 90s with the cooler spots likely in the eastern counties. Wind will still be breezy from the north-northwest at about 5-12 mph with gusts over 20 mph. A few isolated showers or perhaps a rumble of thunder will be possible in the afternoon and evening.
Skies will feature scattered clouds overnight and wind out of the north-northwest that is calmer than any seen so far this week. Lows will again be in the lower 70s around the region with a very slim chance for a shower.
