Sunshine makes a grand return Tuesday

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – After several days of clouds and rain Middle Georgia will finally see a day with more sunshine than clouds.
This Evening
Mostly cloudy to overcast skies will continue through the sunset hours, however some clearing has begun in the northern counties of Middle Georgia. This should continue more through tonight and ahead of tomorrow morning. Wind will be a bit gusty from the north-northeast tonight as sustained speeds will range from 5-10 mph with gusts as high as 17. Overnight lows will be around the freezing point to begin Tuesday morning.
Tomorrow
Partly cloudy skies are likely to begin Tuesday around Middle Georgia however more sunshine is expected by lunchtime. High temperatures will reach just above 50 degrees for most of the region. Wind will shift from the northeast to the southeast throughout the afternoon at around 5 mph.
Overnight will be clear and cold as lows are likely to drop below freezing for much of the region. Wind however will be light out of the south.
Wednesday and Beyond
Wind from the southwest will be rather pronounced Wednesday afternoon, aiding in warming temperatures in the afternoon to above 60 degrees. An incoming cold front may spur on a shower or two overnight Wednesday/Thursday, however those odds look rather slim at this time.
