It was a wet morning across Middle Georgia to get Wednesday started; while most of that rain has cleared some scattered showers remain in the late afternoon and will continue into the evening as a cold front slowly makes a pass through. All rain should clear the region not long after the sunset. Wind will ultimately shift to out of the north-northwest overnight at around 5-10 mph. Gusts could reach to around 15 mph. Skies will largely be clear after midnight with temperatures likely to drop into the upper 30s and lower 40s.

Tomorrow

A sunny day is anticipated Thursday with cloud cover limited to a few cirrus throughout the afternoon. Temperatures will be down almost 10 degrees from Wednesday afternoon however as highs are expected in the low to mid 60s for most of Middle Georgia. The wind will be light and primarily out of the north.

Mostly sunny skies and mid-60s highs are expected again for the final day of the work week. Saturday (Valentine’s Day) will see a lot more cloud cover, especially in the late afternoon and evening. Shower odds will increase overnight with widespread thunderstorms (and possibly heavy rain) expected much of Sunday.
