MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – After nearly a week of cloudy skies the sun will be back in full on Tuesday.
This Evening
What started as a cloudy day gave way to more sunshine through the afternoon. Skies overhead for tonight should be mostly clear. Expect a light wind out of the northwest as temperatures drop into the 50s ahead of tomorrow morning. The warmest spots may stay above 60 degrees. No rain is expected.
Tomorrow
Mostly sunny skies are likely for Tuesday as temperatures climb into the upper 70s and lower 80s around the region. Expect wind to be out of the east-northeast at 5-10 mph during the afternoon.
Overnight skies will be clear as temperatures drop into the upper 40s and lower 50s. Wind will continue from the east-northeast a 5-10 mph.
The Tropics
An area of interest has been identified to the east of the Yucatan/south of Cuba. This is right near where Rafael originated ahead of last week. Right now it has 10% odds to become a depression in the next 48 hours and 50% odds over the next 7 days.
