Sunnier days are coming for Middle Georgia

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT0) – Clouds will begin to clear out of Middle Georgia overnight tonight following a wet Christmas.
The Rest of the Evening
Skies will remain cloudy across most of Georgia heading into tonight, however lower level clouds have already begun clearing. Still, it will be rather muggy with low temperatures and dew points tonight likely in the upper 40s and lower 50s. Some patchy fog will be likely as a result of this and relatively calm winds from the west-northwest. (Fog forms when the temperature and the dew point are the same, provided the winds are calm)
Tomorrow
Partly sunny skies are likely as high level stratus clouds hang around. Temperatures will likely climb into the low to mid 60s around the region as the wind comes from the west at around 5-10 mph. Gusts of upwards of 15 mph will be possible throughout the afternoon.
It will be a clearer night with temperatures expected to drop into the lower 40s ahead of Thursday morning. Winds will come from the west-southwest at around 5-10 mph.
Thursday and Beyond
Mostly sunny skies are likely Thursday with high temperatures reaching into the upper 50s for most of Middle Georgia. It could be a bit breezy with winds of 7-12 mph likely from the west-southwest throughout the day. We will see cloud cover begin to return Friday afternoon with a slight chance for a shower overnight Friday and into Saturday. Saturday looks relatively cloudy at this time, however Sunday should see brighter conditions return.
