Students ‘Act’ Out Life Lessons

Georgia College and State University students are learning how to handle life altering experiences through drama.

It’s all part of a series of short performances put on my the drama department at GCSU.

25 students addressed topics including sex, bullying, body image, and teen pregnancy at the Douglass Theatre in downtown Macon on Tuesday.

“It’s practicing for real life situations and allowing teens to see that there are other options,” says Artistic Director Karen Berman.

The Georgia College Pediatric Nursing Class along with the GCSU Improv for Social Change class worked along with the Teen Scene in Macon to put on the performances.
