Storms lose steam, but more on the way

It has been a pretty active evening of storms across areas of Central Georgia, but storms are beginning to die out this evening, leaving muggy warm conditions across the area.  It was really a story of the haves and have nots as far as picking up meaningful rainfall.  Here in Macon we managed to get 0.38″ at the airport while the radar indicates some areas picked up over an inch of rain.  The good news for our budding drought is that there are storm chances pretty much throughout the forecast period.

Waking up tomorrow though, expect more in the way of patchy fog across the area as well as temperatures in the lower and mid 70’s with partly to mostly cloudy skies.  Storm chances and heat return by the afternoon, so pack the umbrella and some water as you are heading out the door.
