Storm odds up as the new week begins

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Pop up storms will be much more likely during the afternoons and evenings this week.
This Evening
Isolated storms are ongoing around Middle Georgia this afternoon and will continue through the evening. Storms can have some hail and relatively strong wind gusts, however nothing more severe is expected than that. Storm intensity should taper off as the sun sets.

Tomorrow and Beyond
Following a sunny start clouds will fill in during lunchtime with scattered storms beginning in the mid-afternoon. Highs will reach the mid to upper 90s with real feels into the triple digits. Ambient wind will be gentle from the west-southwest.
Overnight storms will taper off as partly cloudy skies remain overhead. Lows will be in the mid 70s as the ambient wind remains unchanged.
Scattered storms will remain the norm in the afternoon and evening this week, and the overall temperature trend is heading downward during the late parts of this week.
