SANDERSVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Deputies arrested a 34-year-old Warthen man Monday night after a multi-agency chase involving a stolen truck ended in Washington County.

According to a Washington County Sheriff’s Office news release, deputies received notification earlier Monday of a vehicle pursuit involving a stolen truck that entered Washington County from Milledgeville. Deputies assisted in the chase alongside the Georgia State Patrol, Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the sheriff’s office, the chase ended on Mills Lindsey School Road, just off Highway 15 North.

The sheriff’s office identified the suspect as McKendrige Ross Veasley of Warthen. Veasley, who was taken into custody “without incident,” will be charged with theft of a motor vehicle, along with multiple traffic violations.

“I want to thank all assisting agencies for their teamwork and professionalism in bringing this pursuit to a safe conclusion and ensuring the suspect was taken into custody,” Sheriff Joel Cochran said.
