Staying cool Wednesday

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Temperatures across Middle Georgia will likely remain a couple degrees below average Wednesday.
Tonight
Sunny skies from the afternoon will see the arrival of more high cirrus clouds this evening and into tonight. There will be no threat of precipitation from these clouds, however they may lead to slightly warmer conditions heading into Wednesday morning. Despite the added clouds Middle Georgians should also be able to see the Full Wolf Moon, the first full moon of 2025. Overnight wind will continue from the northwest at around 5-8 mph as temperatures drop to around the freezing point.
Tomorrow
High clouds from Tuesday night will likely linger through much of the day Wednesday, dampening the sun a bit around the region. Highs should still reach the mid to upper 50s across the region with the warmest locations potentially grazing 60. Wind from the northwest will continue at around 5-10 mph with the occasional 15 mph gust.
Expect some more cirrus clouds to pass overhead again during the overnight hours ahead of Thursday. Temperatures will again dip to around the freezing point across Middle Georgia as the northwest wind hovers around 5 mph.
Thursday and Beyond
Fully sunny skies are expected Thursday as temperatures reach the upper 50s and lower 60s. Low 60s are expected almost everywhere Friday afternoon before clouds return in the evening ahead of weekend rain.
