State Rep. Rusty Kidd files Milledgeville-Baldwin County unification legislation

MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Milledgeville and Baldwin County could become a unified government.

State Representative Rusty Kidd filed House Bill 67 last week. He expects it to be assigned to a committee next week before it goes to the full house for a vote.

Milledgeville City Council sent two letters to Representative Kidd saying it’s against unification.

“We’ve received an extremely high volume of calls from other city residents who share our concerns about this bill,” Mayor Pro-Temp Jeanette Walden said.
