State Rep. Larry O’Neal weighs in on 2015 legislative session

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – State Representative Larry O’Neal expects lawmakers to revisit the medical marijuana bill this year while at the Gold Dome. 41NBC’s Amanda Castro caught up with him to learn before the 2015 session starts next week.

O’Neal (R-District 146) says lawmakers will definitely tackle legalizing medical marijuana this year. He says the bill is for medicinal purposes only and it could help save lives. The lawmaker hopes there won’t be any problems this year passing the bill in the General Assembly.

O’Neal adds transportation is a big issue this year. He says transportation infrastructure is needed for job creation in Georgia.

The 2015 legislative session starts on January 12.
