State Board Clears Warner Robins Police Chief
Warner Robins Police Chief Brett Evans has been cleared by the Peace Officer Standards and Training Council of Georgia on a complaint by Mayor Chuck Shaheen.
Chief Evans was suspended by Shaheen, after an investigation found the chief’s participation in a political campaign inappropriate. Evans was reinstated when city council voted to bring him back.
The State board met on March 9th, and informed Evans of the decision by mail this weekend.
In a statement released this morning, Chief Evans says he wants to thank everyone for their support and prayers, and he hopes that the Mayor and Council can put the past behind them and work together for the city of Warner Robins.
