Staff says Cherry Blossom Festival will continue as planned, hours extended Sunday night

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – According to festival Director Linda Maddox, the Cherry Blossom Festival will open Saturday at 1 p.m. and stay open throughout the night.

Maddox said all rides and vendors will be open and ready to go.

Parking is $10.

Saturday night features a live band and food vendors selling classic fair food.

Sunday, hours will be extended until 9 p.m.

Prior to Friday’s weather cancellation, Sunday’s hours were only until 6 p.m.

Maddox said this was in an effort to help residents enjoy what they missed on Friday.
