Small Jeffersonville Business Creates Plane Parts for Big Aircraft Manufacturers
JEFFERSONVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – One small business in Jeffersonville is quietly making a name for itself, working with some major aircraft manufacturers.
If it’s not quality, Lana Stone doesn’t want any part of it.
She’s the president of Stone Machine and Tool.
It’s a company that specializes in making aircraft components and parts.
There’s only about nine people who work there, but the small business has big clientele.
“The machines run daily. We have a fabrication shop that does some welding and stuff. We have a lot of production going on,” Stone said.
Boeing, specifically their U-2 division, YKK, and also Robins Air Force Base receive products from Stone Machine and Tool.
The company, that’s been open since 1999, makes customs parts for planes and also ground works.
“We do big huge dollies to small parts for them. It’s just a variety of items,” Stone said.
Stone and her husband have lived in Jeffersonville since the early 90’s. They got the idea to start the business from their family and a good old entrepreneurial spirit.
“My husband worked for Boeing for many years and he knew all about it. My family always had a family owned business, so we decided to try it on our own,” Stone said.

The company has received awards from a number of businesses for their work. Stone says she’d like to keep it that way.
“Just that we have quality merchandise, we don’t do anything that’s not 100% quality,” Stone said.
