Six arrested, more than $500k seized in multi-county marijuana grow house bust

PEACH COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Six people were arrested in connection to a multi-county marijuana grow house bust.

The Peach County Drug Enforcement Unit was tipped off in June about Jason Lang who is accused of operating several grow houses in Middle Georgia. A news release from the sheriff’s office says Lang ran houses in Houston, Crawford, Wilcox, and Decatur Counties.

Deputies seized 150 plants plus 20 pounds of packaged marijuana during the searches.

The Sheriff thinks it’s about $510,000 worth of marijuana.

He says grow houses can produce up to four harvests a year.

Investigators also found that Lang was diverting electricity by bypassing the electrical meters on the grow houses.

Investigators said Storey is out on a $20,000 bond.
