Sigma Gamma Rho hosts “Poodle Party in the Dark” community fair in Macon

The Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Delta Pi Sigma Chapter of Fort Valley, is inviting the community to its “Poodle Party in the Dark Community Resource Fair.”

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Delta Pi Sigma Chapter of Fort Valley, is inviting the community to its “Poodle Party in the Dark Community Resource Fair.”

Shelby Long an organizer for the event  says the goal of the event is to “make sure the community is healthy, safe, to make sure they have all the resources from babies to adults, and that we’re out having a good time enjoying the company of people in our community.”

The event will feature voter registration, free healthcare screenings, and a variety of community, mental health, and legal resources available to attendees. Guests can also enjoy music and entertainment from Tex James of Power 107.1.

The fair takes place on Saturday, October 11th, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at 1155 College Street in Macon, Georgia.
