JEFFERSONVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Twiggs County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Bleckley County Sheriff’s Office, recovered a stolen all-terrain vehicle (ATV) last week after tracing it to a home on Long Street Road in Twiggs County.

The recovery operation led investigators deep into the woods, where the stolen side by side ATV was found under a green tarp and covered by pine limbs, according to a Twiggs County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Deputies say they followed shoe prints from the home down a path that led to the hidden vehicle. Warrants have now been issued in the case, the release said.
