Search underway for missing teen in Perry

PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Authorities in Perry are now using cavader dogs trying to locate Sameul Poss. Police say they will search the area near the Poss home one final time Wednesday.


PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Perry Police Department is asking for the public’s help finding 18-year-old Sam Poss.

Poss was last seen leaving a friend’s house on Tucker Road around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15. According to a Facebook post by Poss’ mother, a search party began at 9 a.m. through the woods close to Frank Satterfield Road on Monday.

Samuel’s Mother Nicole Poss said, Nicole Poss said,  “He would never worry his family he is responsible. He’s going into the Navy he’s excited about going into the Navy, like I said he would never worry us ever.”

Police used two bloodhounds and about 25 personnel to search for Poss.

Family, friends and neighbors spent the entire day searching the woods for the Samuel.

The Perry Police Department lists Poss at 5-foot-8 inches-tall and 140 pounds, last seen wearing a gray long-sleeve shirt, gray shorts, and no shoes.
