Savannah Shooting

SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) – Police in Savannah are investigating a shooting that left one person killed and two others wounded.

Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police said in a statement that officers responded to a residence on East 38th Street around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. Police said they found 22-year-old Aahkil Heyward dead outside the residence.

Police said Heyward’s father, 57-year-old Lewis Heyward; and 53-year-old Tracy Taylor were injured but are expected to survive. Both of them were treated at Memorial University Medical Center.

Few other details were released Wednesday morning.
