Salvation Army holds Angel Tree distribution

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)— Salvation Army is now distributing the toys they collected for the Angel Tree.

The three day drive-thru event will end Friday.

The drive-thru allows for contactless pick up. Recipients drive up and tell a volunteer their assigned number. Volunteers inside then pick up the toys in that specific box and bring them out to the car.

They had more than 1100 Angels this year, with around 750 adopted. The Salvation Army though, makes sure every Angel gets gifts under the tree for Christmas even if they weren’t adopted.

The Red Kettle program is still going on this month. Major Rebekah Poole said they’re close the goal of $100,000 collected.

How you can donate

  • In person at any of the Red Kettle locations
  • Online
