Robins Air Force Base contributes $2.7 billion to state economy
WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Robins Air Force Base contributes more than $2.75 billion to the state’s economy.
A new base report shows last year, 21, 864 people worked on base — collectively making nearly $1.3 billion in salaries.
“The figure that is made up of 13, 258 civilians, 5, 953 military members, and 2, 653.”
According to a news release, the base also awarded $5 billion in contracts in 2015 — more than $400 million to Georgia contractors including Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and General Atomics.
