Roads closed in Macon for Jason Aldean music video shoot
Macon native Aldean was filming the video for his latest song “Gonna Know We Were Here.”
Crews blocked off several streets for the shoot.
“So as soon as you hear Jason Aldean is going to be in Macon filming, I had to be here,” Brittney Bledsoe, a music video extra said. “Especially being a country girl, of course you have to be down here and in it. It’s kind of a dream to be in a music video.”
The Macon Film Commission tells 41NBC 1,200 people signed up to be extras, but only 200 were cast. Those who didn’t make the cut lined up along the streets to watch the action.
“The city, it’s film commission and the locals have been more than accommodating to our crew in order to make this happen,” Carey Nelson Brunch, the Executive Director of Tackle Box Films said in a statement. “Director Shaun Silva and Aldean couldn’t imagine capturing this story anywhere but Macon and we’re more than appreciative to have the opportunity to do so.”
There are several road closures Tuesday night for the filming:
Second Street from Cherry to Walnut Streets
Mulberry Street from First to Third Streets
Cotton Avenue from Cherry to Second Streets
All of the alleyways connection the streets
The road closures are from 5 p.m. until midnight. People will be allowed to walk through the area except during filming. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office will be directing traffic.
