UPDATE: Road closure to take longer than expected for stormwater project in Warner Robins

The intersection of Esplanade Drive and Westwood Drive in Warner Robins will be closed to allow for stormwater pipe replacement, according to the City of Warner Robins Public Works Department.

UPDATE: (4/17) – According to a news release from the City of Warner Robins, the roadwork for the project will continue thru Friday, April 25.

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The intersection of Esplanade Drive and Westwood Drive in Warner Robins will be closed from Wednesday, April 16 through Friday, April 18 to allow for stormwater pipe replacement, according to the City of Warner Robins Public Works Department.

The full closure will begin at 8 a.m. on April 16 and end at 3:30 p.m. on April 18. The work is part of a project aimed at improving local infrastructure and reducing future drainage issues, the city said in a news release.

During the closure, through traffic will not be allowed at the intersection. Detour signs will be posted to direct drivers around the work zone. The city encourages drivers to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
