River Edge hosts town hall meeting on underage drinking
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Underage drinking, and how to prevent is, was a hot topic Thursday night at River Edge Behavioral Health Center.
River Edge partnered with Macon Safe Decisions to inform teens on how alcohol can affect their bodies at such an early age.
“Once they start drinking, it affects their brain and it affects their decision making. So we want to start teaching them and getting the message across that they do need to make healthier choices,” said Pamela Vinson, the Coordinator of the program.
Vinson says they are working on three different strategies to help reduce the amount of underage drinking in Macon.
