Reynolds Officer Charged with Giving Info to Accused Drug Dealer Bonds Out of Jail

terrell gibson colorREYNOLDS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Reynolds police officer who is accused of allegedly accessing private law enforcement information and passing it on to a criminal is out of jail, according to the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Jeff Watson tells 41NBC Terrell Gibson was released from the Taylor County jail last Friday evening on a $7,500 bond.

A joint investigation with the GBI, the United State Drug Enforcement Administration, and the sheriff’s office found Gibson was allegedly accessing a state law enforcement database. According to Reynolds Police Chief Lonnie Holder and the GBI, he passed on private details like vehicle information to an accused local drug dealer. Gibson’s booking information also says he disclosed criminal history record information.

Holder says Gibson has been terminated.
