Reward increased to $10,000 in Fort Valley serial rapist investigation

FORT VALLEY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The FBI has added $7,500 to the $2,500 offered by Fort Valley and Peach County law enforcement, for information leading to the arrest of a serial rapist.

According to an FBI news release, in Fort Valley five homes in April were broken into, two women were raped, and three others fought the suspect off.

Special Agent Stephen Emmett with the FBI Atlanta Field Office tells 41NBC the federal agency “is providing assistance to the investigation as needed to include, but not limited to, behavioral analysis services.”

There have been no arrests with any of these crime. Investigators are trying to better determine whether just one person committed all of the crimes.

The Peach County Sexual Assault Task Force is made up of the Peach County Sheriff’s Office, Fort Valley Police, Fort Valley State University Campus Police, and the GBI.
