Revivolution- A city on our knees resumes

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Congregations of local churches in Macon and Warner Robins are again seeking the face of God for divine wisdom.

“We are praying over the city of Macon and the Middle Georgia region. In addition, specifically we are praying for oneness in Macon as well as for the body of Christ,” said True Gospel Christian Church pastor, Walter Ral Waltower, in a previous interview.

Middle Georgia residents are invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets to “Revivolution – A city on our knees.” It is scheduled to be held Oct. 19, at Coleman Hill Park located at 285 Spring St., in Macon. The event will kick-off with praise and worship at 4:30 p.m., with prayers starting at 5 p.m.

The purpose of “Prayer in the Park” event is to unite the Middle Georgia community, said Waltower.

“We need to unite under a common vision in order to begin strategically rebuilding the authority and influence that God has given the church,” he said.

Several other Middle Georgia churches are scheduled to take part in the event.

Waltower said, “Revivolution” stems from a sermon series he shared with his congregation.

“It caused a stirring in my heart that now was the time to rebuild,” said Waltower. “Similar to Nehemiah’s charge to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. The expectation is that when we come together, there will be no pretense. We will all lay down our egos, as well as our personal agendas, and allow Christ to be the head of His church. Our desire is not to build a church but the church.”
